Employment Insurance Application Assistance

Library staff are able to offer basic assistance and guidance to those completing online applications for Employment Insurance benefits at a library.

Library staff have also created two videos, available on our YouTube page, to help guide our users through the process.  The first video will show you step-by-step the application for EI Regular Benefits. The second video covers the Farming Questionnaire portion of that same application (only applicable if you declare income from farming on your annual income tax return).  Please note that the application process may change at anytime, without notice.  The application you complete may not be the same as the one featured.  For clarification at anytime contact Service Canada.

There are other types of benefits available through Service Canada, including Sickness Benefits, Maternity/Parental Benefits, Caregiver Benefits and more.  These applications are similar to the application featured in the video but will not be the same.  Please ensure you have selected the correct benefit application by reviewing the information on the Service Canada website

Job Searching

Job seekers can visit any open Middlesex County Library branch to use a computer or the wifi for job searching and resume writing. Printing and faxing of resumes, cover letter and other documents related to the job search process are free of charge. Library locations with Employment Resource Centres feature regularly updated local job boards. Jobs featured on the board are printed from online Job Sites that feature job postings for the Middlesex London Area. Videos containing an overview of these pages and how to use them can be found on our YouTube page:
